These earrings, combining amber, pearls and the delicate Bukhara cap reflect the lavishness of Russian court jewelry during the 18th and 19th centuries. At this time fresh water pearls could be found in the rivers of northern Russia and amber, also called sun stone, could be found on the shores of the Baltic Sea. Amber (fossilized tree resin) was though to bring its wearer happiness and good health.

Materials: pewter findings with gold finish, amber, freshwater pearl.
