A stunning homage to the early Soviet space program, this vintage "podstakannik" (tea glass holder) "Path to the Stars" was made by the Mstyorsky Jewelry Factory in Mstyora, Russia in the early 1960s. The tea glass holder is made of Melchior; a unique alloy of copper, nickel, iron, and magnesium which prevents corrosion and leaves a beautiful silver blue patina.
It is truly Soviet art deco tea drinking in unique style.
Made in USSR
The holder measures 2 1/2" in diameter and 3 1/2" high.
