Irina Konstantinovna Popenko was born on February 14, 1953. In 1973 she graduated from the Ivanovo Art School, in 1978 from the Moscow Higher Art and Industrial School, studied with B. Rachmaninov and V. Voloshko. Lives in Vinnets. In Soviet times, she worked on social and political posters and collaborated with the Plakat publishing house. Author of posters: “This is your land, son” (1982), “I’ll be like dad!” (1983), “Labor Will Rule the World” (1985), “Hello, festival” (1985), “We remember” (1990).

Works by I. Popenko are in the collections of the State Museum of V.I. Lenin (Moscow), the Auschwitz Museum (Poland), the Vinnitsa Regional Museum of Local Lore, the Oslo Traffic Police Museum (Norway), the collections of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, Directorates exhibitions in Moscow (Russia).
