Wild Orange Preserves

Delicious orange preserves made from small batch vine ripened Italian Calabria wild oranges.

In northern Russia, oranges were always a rarity and seen as a delicacy.  During the Soviet period, they became widely available to the people, especially mandarins from the former Soviet republic of Georgia. Each year, the Soviet government tried to add a Georgian mandarins to the boxes of candy that were made available for New Year's Eve celebrations.
